Stunning costumes, slick steps and an element of surprise – Come Dance with Me is a dance-off with a life-affirming twist. This performance is inspired by the high camp glamour of Strictly Come Dancing and will create beautiful scenes of dancing partners twirling around Castletown in astonishing brightly-coloured costumes.

Diverse City (UK) with Emma Martin (IRL) and St Raphael’s St. John of Gods
Diverse City was set up by Claire Hodgson in 2006. Claire is a former head of Performing Arts at London Metropolitan University and a Clore Fellow 2011/12. In 2011 Diverse City received an Unlimited commission to deliver Breathe – an international project between Brazil and Dorset that brought together 64 young disabled people to perform at the opening celebrations of the Olympic sailing events to an audience of 11,000. Claire has directed twenty shows in the last ten years in settings as varied as the Roundhouse, Shoreditch Festival, Bournemouth Town Square, Camden Town Hall, The Houses of Parliament, Rich Mix and the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill. Diverse City is currently setting up the UK’s only inclusive circus company in partnership with Cirque Bijou.
Emma Martin trained and worked as a ballet dancer, graduating from the John Cranko School, Stuttgart, Germany in 2000. She went on to perform with Tanztheater Trier, Ballet Ireland, Wexford Festival Opera, Opera Ireland and Muse Dance Theatre (NYC), and completed a degree in Russian and Drama & Theatre Studies at Trinity College Dublin. Her choreographic and directorial work for dance and theatre include Lulu (Samuel Beckett Theatre, 2009), Packing Room, Drive (short film Dublin Dance Festival 2008), Listowel Syndrome (Dublin Fringe Festival 2010, Dublin Dance Festival 2011), and Dogs (Dublin Fringe Winner Best Production and Best Design 2012). She has just finished a research project at the Royal Opera House/Clore Studio in London.
